28.05.09On Monday, 1st of June, on the International Child Protection Day, NGO Mondo officially launches the website for the new Ghana children sponsorship program. The wepage address is: www.muudamaailma.ee/eng (in English it means: change the world). In the event NGO Mondo will set up the photo exhibition showing the life of children in Ghana and will teach Estonian children about Ghana and African culture.
The family event takes place in Tallinn city centre on Monday at 2pm until 7pm behind Coca-Cola Plaza cinema in Rotermann Courtyard. Many different activities and performances are organised for children and their families by the organizers (Studio „Loov Impulss", Tallinn Sports and Youth Department, Coca-Cola Plaza).
According to the project manager of new Ghana project "A small gift is a big help" Aire Nurm the Child Protection Day is a good opportunity to talk about education and life of children in different parts of the world. „Through the photo exhibition, games and quizes we will take Estonian kids to the imaginary world of African kids, more specifically to the small village in North-Ghana called Kongo," she says. „We encourage people to join our programme and support the chidren in North-Ghana to receive primary school education," she added.
Everyone is welcome to come to our programme presentation on Monday, 1st of June at 2-7pm.
