How the funds are used?

With the funds Estonian individual sponsors are donating we can ensure that the children of Kongo village go to school. Without your support some children in the village will not have the possibility to attend school. There are about 550 children in the village now not attending the primary school.

600 EEK per year will cover the costs for one child to attend school: it covers the cost of uniform, sandals, schoolbag, pencils, workbooks, exam fees, schoolbooks (some schoolbooks are guaranteed by the government, some need to be bought by the family).

We guarantee that 90% of the donation reaches the childs family. 10% will be used for postal costs, money transfer costs and for monitoring the appropriate usage of the funds.

In year 2009 The National Foundation of Civil Society in Estonia is funding the start-up of the programme.
